Dr. Lyda D. Tymiak is a board certified Ophthalmologist recognized as a leading cataract and implant surgeon and innovator in facial rejuvenation procedures. Dr. Tymiak has been in private practice in Ophthalmology at Gulfcoast Eyecare, a freestanding medical facility in Palm Harbor, Florida since 1980. She has performed thousands of cataract and implant surgeries as well as numerous cosmetic eyelid surgeries and facial laser procedures. She was a pioneer in the use of multifocal implants as well as a faculty member in numerous courses teaching ophthalmlogists the art of advanced refractive cataract surgery with the Array lens, the first FDA approved multifocal implant. Dr.Tymiak has appeared on numerous TV broadcasts as an expert in cataract and multifocal implants, eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation including MD TV Medical News Now on Cable TV along with Channel 13, Channel 8 and Bay News 9 broadcasts and Daytime TV.
Dr. Tymiak founded Timeless MD spa in 2004 specializing in facial rejuvenation using ELOS, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), Injectable fillers and Botox .In 2002 Dr. Tymiak was appointed a charter member of the National Education Faculty by Allergan and has taught facial surgeons the art of Botox and facial rejuvenation procedures.
In June 2007, Dr. Andrea M. Cottrell joined Dr. Tymiak as an associate at Gulfcoast Eyecare and becoming the first Mother-Daughter Eye MD team in the Tampa Bay area and in the United States(according to the AAO).Dr. Cottrell has expanded the scope of practice at Gulfcoast eyecare to include all currently available accomodating and multifocal implants (Crystalens, Restor, Rezoom) and pediatric eye examinations.
