Steven Gross, MD
Dr. Steven Gross is a Board-Certified Neuro-Ophthalmologist , offering a wide range of general and neuro-ophthalmology evaluations here at Gulfcoast Eye Care.
Dr. Gross graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University with a concentration in molecular biology. He earned his Medical Doctrine from the University of Illinois as a James Scholar, and went on to complete residencies in neurology and ophthalmology. With comprehensive experience in many different fields of ocular study, Dr. Gross has completed a number of fellowships, including those in oculoplastic surgery, neuro-ophthalmology from Columbia University, and strabismology from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Recruited to the full-time faculty of the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Gross was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Neurology actively involved in both clinical care and teaching. Outside of his career in ophthalmology, Dr. Gross is currently a major consultant for the pharmaceutical industry and is involved in the development of new drugs for use in multiple sclerosis and uveitis.
