Our team is led by Michael H. Manning, M.D., F.A.C.S., Jason M. Handza, D.O., and Thanh Nguyen, O.D. Together, our eye doctors and eye surgeons cover a wide range of specialties, and inspire the rest of our staff to come into work every day excited to help our patients keep their eyes healthy and their vision clear.

If you’re coming from the north, head south on I-275 S, then take exit 24 for 22nd Ave N. At the end of the ramp, stay left at the fork and turn left onto 22nd Ave N. In 0.4 miles, turn right onto 16th St N; you’ll soon pass both Ichiban Japanese Restaurant and El Tenampa Mexican-American Restaurant on your right. In a little under a mile, turn left onto 9th Ave N, and we’ll be just ahead on your left.
If you’re coming from the west, head east on 5th Ave N toward 45th St N. Once you reach US-19/34th St N, turn left. In a few hundred feet, you’ll pass Fray’s Donut House on your right. In a couple hundred more feet, once you see Salem’s Fresh Eats on your left, turn right onto 9th Ave N. In just over 1.5 miles, we’ll be on your left.

Cataracts are a condition that degrade the eye’s natural lens over time, leading to gradually worsening vision. Cataracts are common in people over 40 years old, but fortunately, they have a simple solution: cataract surgery. Dr. Manning and his team will permanently remove your clouded lens, and restore your vision by replacing it with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). It’s possible for IOLs to not only restore your vision to its pre-cataract quality, but to improve your eyesight in a variety of different ways!

Medical eye exams can help us track your eye health so that we can detect eye diseases before they cause vision loss. From ongoing at-home treatments to surgical solutions, we provide a range of treatment options for conditions like glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal issues, and other common eye problems. We’re also able to provide emergency eye care if you experience sudden vision changes, unexplained pain, or an eye injury.
Many of our patients trust us to treat their dry eye syndrome, a common and uncomfortable condition. We perform MiBo Thermoflo therapy in our St. Petersburg office to alleviate symptoms and address the root causes of dry eye.
