The first step to understanding your eyes is a comprehensive eye exam. We use advanced technology to monitor your ongoing eye health and generate a precise vision prescription. In terms of vision correction, we offer a few different options, starting with corrective eyewear — glasses and contacts. If you’re interested in a permanent vision solution, we’ll provide a consultation for our LASIK, PRK, or one of our other eye surgeries. An appointment is required for any optical shop visits.
It’s common for adults in their 40s and older to develop cataracts, a condition that degrades the eye’s natural lens and slowly reduces their vision over time. With custom cataract surgery, which Dr. Manning performs right here in Palm Harbor, we can permanently remove cataracts and restore vision. We replace eyes’ blurry natural lenses with a range of different artificial, intraocular lenses (IOLs), which can reduce or eliminate your dependence on eyewear.
During a cataract surgery consultation, our Palm Harbor ophthalmology team will go over all of your options, including the selection of IOLs that we offer.
LASIK is a life-changing vision correction option that millions of people choose every year to improve their vision and potentially free themselves from relying on eyewear. At Gulfcoast Eye Care, we’ve made it our goal to make LASIK eye surgery as safe, effective, and affordable to our patients as possible. Between our experienced LASIK surgeon, state-of-the-art, all-laser LASIK procedure, and hassle-free financing options, we’ve been able to do just that.
We can tell you more about what LASIK — or one of the alternatives, including PRK, RLE, and Visian ICL — can do for you during a free LASIK evaluation.
Whether you wear glasses or not, frequent eye health exams can identify developing eye conditions before they threaten your eyesight. At Gulfcoast Eye Care, we utilize surgical and non-surgical methods to treat and manage eye diseases like glaucoma, retinal issues including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy. We’re also experienced in providing emergency eye care for any sudden vision issues or injuries you may experience.
We also treat dry eye syndrome, an extremely common condition capable of causing a range of uncomfortable symptoms. In Palm Harbor, our dry eye experts can recommend a variety of at-home treatments or perform LipiFlow to soothe your symptoms and address the source of the condition right here in our office.
Many people think that having plastic surgery on the eyes is purely cosmetic, but in some cases, it’s necessary to restore vision. Over time, the eyelids and the muscles that control them can stretch, sag, turn inwards or outwards, or become less responsive, impeding your vision and making you look less youthful and alert. We offer a number of oculofacial plastic surgery options at Gulfcoast Eye Care, including blepharoplasty, to improve your vision and expression with one simple procedure.
