A recent study from the journal of the American Academy of Ophthalmology found that long-term daily multivitamin supplement use may lower cataract risk in men (a 9% decrease in risk). While the decrease in risk of cataract development was relatively small, I am happy to see the results of this study. Very few studies have demonstrated possible preventive steps for our patients.
