Mark A. Sibley, MD, FACS
Dr. Mark Sibley is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Eye Surgery. With more than 35 years of experience in eye and vision care, Dr. Sibley has a special focus in laser vision correction procedures such as LASIK and PRK. He also specializes in advanced cataract surgery. Dr. Sibley has served as the Team Ophthalmologist for the Tampa Bay Rays since 1997, and founded the Florida Eye Center, a state-of-the-art ophthalmology practice recently acquired by Gulfcoast Eye Care.
Dr. Sibley earned his medical degree from Harvard, and completed his residency in ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He is a member of numerous respected medical organizations, including the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the American College of Eye Surgeons, and the International Society of Refractive Keratoplasty. Dr. Sibley is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Medical Advisor to the American Diabetes Association, and an Assistant Instructor at USF Medical School.
In addition to being honored multiple times with the AMA Physician Recognition Award, Dr. Sibley has been consistently listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Medicine. He has spent his entire career helping people improve common vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, while working to save patients’ vision from the threat of cataracts and other dangerous eye conditions.
